Classic democrat presidential nominee strategy: Say and do anything to get elected. There are no principles, only political opportunities. Different folks, different strokes.
Democrats got themselves a chameleon presidential nominee. How fitting that is... The only thing that mattered to democrtas voting in this primary season was the electability of their nominee. A nominee who can beat Bush. Who cares about anything else right?
