"Eric Schlosser's bestselling diatribe, Fast Food Nation, against the fast food industry is a monumental self-contradiction built on inconsistencies and misleading statements reported as facts. He is releasing a version targeting middle-school aged children this spring."

Expect your public schools to declare this junk book required reading for your children.

I just wanted to say that I agree with your comments and your reaction to the thought of this "material" being presented to children as gospel. Some of the author's positions on other issues like pornography and drug use might not be appropriate for children either.

Finally, someone speaking with some common sense about Schlosser and his sensationalist book. With all the misinformation out there (particularly Mr. Schlosser's diatribe), it would not surprise me if ALL of our kids are forced to read his book in school.

It concerns me greatly that Schlosser's book may make it into my children's hands. I do not feel he has the qualifications to teach my children good and bad, nor right from wrong. I have some serious reservations about his character, morals and motivation. Glad to know I am not the only parent with these concerns!

It is sad that Mr. Schlosser's sensationalism and demonization of businesses are how some people have decided to approach "healthy eating." Our children need to be taught facts and personal responsiblility, not Mr. Schlosser's approach of shifting blame where it does not lie.

Truly, there's a need to study the issue more closely because there are a lot of things that are not appropriate for the children in this age.
