Tom Daschle said Monday that he's "deeply embarrassed and disappointed" about his failure to pay more than $120,000 in taxes.

So the phony journalists focus on Daschle's "deep embarrassment" and "apologies" for failing to pay taxes.

Folks this guy had back taxes in the amount of $128,203 according to this news article. That's way more than what an average American makes in a year. He must have been making serious money right?

What position in the administration did Barack Hussein Obama pick Daschle for? Head of the Health and Human Services Department. Obama the supreme warrior against lobbyists picks Daschle for the Health and Human Services Department. What was Daschle doing for the past two years?

Tom Daschle, tapped to be President Obama's health czar, was paid more than $200,000 by the health-care industry in the past two years, according to documents obtained by Politico.

The former Senate majority leader, who gave speeches to firms and groups with a vested-interest in the administration's upcoming health reform, collected the checks as part of a $5 million windfall after he lost reelection to his South Dakota seat.

Daschle made nearly $5.3 million in the last two years, records released Friday show, including $220,000 he received for giving speeches, many of them to outfits that stand to gain or lose millions of dollars from the work he would do once confirmed as secretary of Health and Human Services.

For instance, the Health Industry Distributors Association plunked down $14,000 to land the former Senate Democratic leader in March 2008. The association, which represents medical products distributors, boasts on its website that Daschle met with it after he was nominated to discuss “the impact an Obama administration will have on the industry.”

This week, the group began openly lobbying him, sending him a letter urging him to rescind a rule requiring competitive bidding of Medicare contracts.

Phony journalists who are nothing but propagandists for the democRAT party won't touch this. They just keep telling us how sorry this RAT is for goofing off in calculating his taxes. Obama and liberal democRATs are putting the government on sale to enrich themselves and their ilk on the expense of the "little guy" or the "middle class" they so love.

Honestly folks; why would anyone pay Daschle $5 million and provide him with a car and a driver? What kind of consulting he possibly can offer? It was all about betting on him for getting back in the government and start paying back with our hard-earned tax-payer money. This is how liberal democRATs operate and gullible, dumbed down Americans keep falling for these swindlers.

Tax issues emerge in Daschle nomination

Yep, that is the headline of the story by phony journalist KEVIN FREKING, Associated Press Writer.

If you don't bother reading the article you might think that "tax issues" are being discussed as part of the nomination.

Don't you think an headline like "Another Tax-Cheat in Obama Administration" or "Tax-and-spend liberal Daschle does not like paying taxes" would have made more sense?

Folks, looks like the only way to get liberal democRats be honest with their taxes is to nominate them to a job in Obama administration.

There are other interesting things here:

"The car service and the consulting income were received in connection with Daschle's business relationship with InterMedia Partners of Englewood, Colo. Daschle is a limited partner and chairman of its executive advisory board. Daschle is also an independent consultant to InterMedia Advisors LLP of New York City.

Hindery founded InterMedia Partners, a private equity firm, in 1988. Daschle was paid $1 million annually for his services, the committee said. Daschle's 2007 tax return did not include one of his monthly payments of $88,333."

"$1 million annually for his services" folks... Plus a car with a driver... Nice! Don't you think the public deserves to find out what those "services" were? It just smells like an influence peddling and lobbying job by an ex-senator of the U.S. to me. This guy is your garden variety liberal democRAT who claims to be on the side of small guy. Just like Obama and all the other liberal democRATS, Daschle fights the special interests in Washington DC folks. What a B.S!
