Back in 2004, when I reviewed Arrogance: Rescuing America From the Media Elite by Bernard Goldberg, this is what I wrote:
It is a disappointment! The catchphrase on the back of the book is "BIAS identified the problem. ARROGANCE offers a solution". Unfortunately, both claims are wrong. Bernard Goldberg's first book Bias: A CBS Insider Exposes How the Media Distort the News made the case that media elites are biased but they don't even know it. It is just a cultural thing. Evidently Goldberg thought his book will wake these media elites up, make them be more conscious of their own biases so they can be more balanced. Well... As we all know it did not quite work that way. Now Goldberg thinks that the media elites are in denial. He thinks they are so arrogant they won't listen to any constructive criticism. He even comes up with a twelve step process just like the one AA has for their recovery.
The truth of the matter is we are not dealing with an arrogant, close-minded media that is subconsciously biased in certain issues. It is crystal clear in the examples Goldberg gives in his books. I can not believe he can not bring himself to admit this: It is a flat-out partisan media. It is a media that does more than taking sides on the issues. It is a media that pushes an agenda. It is an activist media.
I think Bernard Goldberg is the one who is in denial. He is starting to sound like an apologist for the media. He just needs to come to terms with the fact that the mainstream media has just become a propaganda machine for liberal democrats. It is not because of a cultural bias or arrogance. It is by design on purpose. It is being done under the guise of journalism.
I was absolutely correct in my analysis. Mainstream media, most of the entertainment industry that includes Hollywood, TV shows, magazines are all being controlled and used as a propaganda tool by liberal democRATs. Look at the following covers of US Magazine. Do you see BIAS or ARROGANCE? Wouldn't you agree this is pure PROPAGANDA?
Watch Megyn Kelly of Fox News decimate US Weekly Editor.Guess what... The "Lies" on the cover refers to "leftist bloggers' lies about Sarah Palin". What a lame excuse for an editor.
