You have to read the article I linked to the end to gain insight into Obama's plan to make Government owned Chrysler successful after he gave it away to Fiat.

"A lot of us have residual memories of Fiat that are less than stellar," Dilts said. "But I think the product looks good. They've got some great small engine capabilities. With a little bit of pressure on gasoline, I think they're going to give Fiat a look."

Here is the quote: "With a little bit of pressure on gasoline, I think they're (American drivers) going to give Fiat a look."

The truth is that American drivers will not buy itsy bitsy Italian cars unless the gas prices force them. This venture of building enviro-marxist prescribed cars is doomed to fail unless government pushes the gas prices up by taxation and other means. This is how government motors works folks. Get ready for a $5.00 plus / gallon gasoline.

This utopian, delusional ideology combined with Obama's tyranny will bring more misery, poverty and death to millions of Americans. Fix It Again Tony!

You get the sense that the FIAT is the good guy here, don't you?

Italian automaker Fiat said Tuesday it will not turn its back on a deal to acquire a controlling stake in Chrysler despite a U.S. Supreme Court stay on the sale.

What is it again Fiat offering for Chrysler? No money, nada, nothing, zilch! Fiat is going to get upto 35% of Chrysler initially. It may get a lot more if UAW decides to sell or give away its share. So, how much money Gaddafi's Fiat putting up to buy Chrysler again? A big ZERO! It is so nice for them to not walk away from this deal.

This is exactly what Fiat is offering:

Fiat has offered its small car and environmentally friendly engine technology, as well as management expertise, in exchange for an initial 20 percent stake in Chrysler, which will grow to 35 percent in 5 percent increments.

A purely political decision made by Kenyan-Indonesian-muslim president's administration is to give an American company to Gaddafi owned Italian company, Fiat, for free. Who wants to buy a Fiat 500? If Fiat was that viable in the United States, why doesn't it go about selling cars in the United States as other foreign car manufacturers?

This whole deal stinks folks!

Why did Obama sell Chrysler out to Fiat?

Chrysler executives still hoped to avoid bankruptcy. The UAW had ratified a second round of concessions that froze wages, cut retiree health care benefits and agreed not to strike the company for more than six years. All but a handful of lenders had signed off on the U.S. Treasury's offer of $2 billion to write off $6.9 billion in Chrysler loans.

Reluctantly, however, the leaders were recognizing the harsh decision Rattner made weeks earlier: Chrysler was filing for Chapter 11, no matter what.

Rattner had met with Ron Kolka, Chrysler's chief financial officer, and told him how it would go.

"We need a deal with Fiat today. We were told to pretty much take it," Kolka wrote in an e-mail to Nardelli, Vice Chairman Tom LaSorda and Robert Manzo, a financial consultant Chrysler hired in November. Rattner and his colleague Ron Bloom "will call the union in and tell them what will happen. Then they'll tell the banks, 'Here's the deal: take it or liquidate it.' "

This whole thing stinks folks.

Why Fiat? I thought one reason Obama and liberal democRATs sold out Chrysler to Fiat was to force production of tiny cars here in the U.S. I thought the enviro-communists saw a great opportunity in taking over a car company. I still believe this was one of the reasons but why was Obama so eager to sell Chrysler out to Fiat? Were there other reasons?

Whose interest was President Obama serving when on March 30 he ordered Chrysler to either conclude a merger with Italian automaker Fiat within 30 days or lose federal bailout funds? That untimely announcement placed Chrysler in the untenable position of accepting whatever Fiat offered, literally cutting the legs out from under the struggling American carmaker’s negotiating platform. Some financial analysts had already determined that what Fiat was offering was a very bad deal for Chrysler. “The steal of the century,” Forbes columnist Jerry Flint wrote of the deal back in January, “Fiat gets Chrysler for next to no money, and American taxpayers must throw in $7 billion to make it happen.” By most accounts, Chrysler was in real trouble, but by announcing to the world that Chrysler had no other alternatives Obama effectively told Fiat that Chrysler would accept whatever they offered, eliminating Chrysler’s ability to cut a better deal.

Why would President Obama undercut a US company, involved in a heated negotiation, in favor of a foreign company’s interest? Clear answers are not available, but there is one very curious shareholder in Fiat that raises some interesting questions. The African nation of Libya owns at least a 2 to 3 percent stake in Fiat and thus makes Muammar Qaddafi, who controls the wealth of Libya, a direct beneficiary of the deal favoring Fiat.

Does Obama owe Qaddafi? That is a tough question to answer, but Obama’s record-shattering 700 million dollar presidential fundraising operation and a revealing speech made by Qaddafi nearly a year ago seems to undress Obama’s inexplicable sabotage of Chrysler’s negotiating position with Fiat.

We know that Obama is paying back the unions who helped him get elected. Is he also paying back Gaddafi?

This was back in 1986. In the year 2009, the United States has a Kenyan-Indonesian-muslim president who is paying back people who helped him fraud Americans electing him by raising $700 million during the presidential campaign. Is the terrorist Gaddafi one of his fund raisers?

How Obama helped Chrysler screw its franchisees

Please stop the unlawful and immoral termination of Chrysler dealerships across the country.

Chrysler has taken taxpayer-funded bailout money from our government and used it to put at least 40,000 hard working Americans out of work. Many of whom will lose their homes and life savings as a result.

These actions are no fault of the dealers, who are, in many cases, family-run businesses that have been loyal partners with Chrysler – through good times and bad – for multiple generations.

Chrysler wants less competition among dealers in order to drive up prices to the consumers. Yet not only will consumers pay higher prices in the future as a result of this immoral action, the consumer will also be greatly inconvenienced when purchasing and servicing their vehicles

The assault on the middle class must be stopped.

Dealers are Chrysler's customers; they buy the cars and parts and even the signs in front of their dealerships. Chrysler took $5 billion tax dollars from the Government, but refuses to buy back the parts and vehicle inventories from the terminated dealers leaving them holding millions in worthless vehicles and parts.

Make Chrysler buy back these inventories and pay for the terminated franchises of the dealers.

Hiding behind bankruptcy laws in order to destroy lives and void franchise contracts may be legal, but it is immoral and un-American.

Please stop this madness and prevent Chrysler and our Government from putting profits before people.

STOP CHRYSLER AND THE GOVERNMENT FROM TERMINATING DEALERS

Thanks to Obama, small business owners that operate in one of the most competitive industries in the United States, who invested their life savings, who built their businesses working hard each and every day are getting shafted by a failed, mismanaged big corporation that is burning tax payer money in the billions of dollars. These dealers are not only losing their franchises but also being stuck by cars and trucks they took from Chrysler to save Chrysler in the first place. Yes folks, many of these guys are sitting on inventory of cars and parts they wouldn't keep if Chrysler had not intimidated them to take.

Chrysler also told dealers it would not buy back inventory, yet the dealerships can’t function as new car retailers after June 9. Bankruptcy has given Chrysler the ability to shift hundreds of millions of dollars in liability to the individuals and families that have been selling Chrysler products for generations.

While both Chrysler and GM may have discussed trimming dealerships even before President Barack Obama was inaugurated, once the administration pushes automakers toward bankruptcy, the buck stops at Obama’s desk.

While we have supported administration’s efforts to save the domestic auto industry, we have had our reservations. Early on we questioned the make up of Obama’s auto task force, which has lots of bean counters but not one member from the auto industry. It also has as many members who don’t own a car as own American-made cars. Most of those who drive, drive imports.

The rush to bankruptcy

So the un-American administration's task force to save the American auto industry has members who prefer un-American cars. Any surprises there? Folks, these are the self-proclaimed smart people who will decide the future of American auto industry. Forget that... These people are going to make decisions that will profoundly affect how you and I will live in the future.

Here is why GM and Chrysler are screwed…

I probably should revise the headline to "here is why genuine American car dealers and drivers are screwed". Well the fact is that one of the main reasons for the demise of GM and Chrysler is the stupid, delusional government rules, regulations and policies that are pushed by liberal democRATs. What disappoints me the most is the cowardice of the people who run these companies. Not one of them stood up and told the truth. To this day they submit to liberal democRATs' demands knowing full well that their companies are being destroyed. These people are getting paid in millions of dollars with millions in benefits and do not have the courage to speak up.

Folks, just pause a minute and think back... What do you hear the most when liberal democRATs are discussing energy policy, alternative energies, global warming bullshit etc? They always say something like "... equivalent to removing this many millions of cars off the road". Exactly folks. These assholes hate the car and the freedom it provides to ordinary Americans. It is not about saving energy or the global warming bullshit. It is about limiting your freedom to buy what you want, drive what you want, travel to where you want to travel. You see folks, they do not care about high energy costs. They actually want us to have high energy costs. We have professors who are happy walking or biking around their campuses sneering at us when we get into our SUVs and drive our kids to sports activities. The RATs constantly scheme to get us out of our cars. They want to increase gas taxes. Guess what their next plan is when there are more fuel efficient cars on the roads? Tax us by the mile! Why? It has nothing to do with saving energy. Tax = Punishment folks. Your liberal democRAT representative you elected wants to punish you for driving a car, any car.

So my point is that the cowards who ran GM and Chrysler did not have the balls to stand up and speak out against liberal democRAT schemes that helped kill their companies. They had nothing to lose. What did they gain by playing along? More destruction of their companies.

Barack Hussein Obama is killing American Car Business, destroying small businessmen, selling us out to Italians and Chinese.

This is the "Hope and Change" you voted for right?

"It became clear to us that Chrysler does not see the wisdom of terminating 25 percent of its dealers," Bellavia said. "It really wasn't Chrysler's decision. They are under enormous pressure from the President's automotive task force."

He added the government task force, which he criticized for having no members with retail experience was, in effect, attacking U.S. entrepreneurs.

So the President's Auto Task force that has no auto experience forces Chrysler to close 25% of its dealerships... Did they also play a role in choosing these dealers? If they did, was politics one of the factors?

We are learning more about the way Despot Obama uses the power of government to loot this country.

First we have this story from New York soon to be bankrupt Times:

But now the two men, along with a handful of other financiers, are being blamed for precipitating the bankruptcy of an American icon. As Chrysler’s fate hung in the balance Wednesday night, this group refused to bend to the Obama administration and accept steep losses on their investments while more junior investors, including the United Automobile Workers union, were offered favorable terms.

In a rare flash of anger, the president scolded the group Thursday as Chrysler, its options exhausted, filed for bankruptcy protection. “I don’t stand with those who held out when everyone else is making sacrifices,” Mr. Obama said.

Chastened, and under intense pressure from the White House, the investment firm run by Mr. Weinberg and Mr. Perella, Perella Weinberg Partners, abruptly reversed course. In a terse statement issued shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday, Perella Weinberg Partners announced it would accept the government’s terms.

The Obama administration threatened to use the White House press corps to besmirch the reputation of one of the financial firms that holds Chrysler debt, according to a prominent New York bankruptcy lawyer.

If true, the explosive charge shows that the White House was willing to go much further than is widely known to have its way in the attempt to restructure the Detriot automaker.

"One of my clients was directly threatened by the White House and in essence compelled to withdraw its opposition to the deal under threat that the full force of the White House press corps would destroy its reputation if it continued to fight...That was Perella Weinberg," Tom Lauria, the head of the bankrutpcy department for top New York City lawfirm White & Case, told a WJR 760 radio host.

We witnessed Obama's attempt to besmirch these lenders. He did it personally. He attacked these people. Propagandist Obama Media Corps that stand at attention in their ruler's presence dutifully spread the propaganda as New York Bankrupt Times did.

Is this the change you voted for? Total take-over and looting of this country by a guy who refuses to show us proof that he is eligible to be the President? Barack Hussein Obama has paid over $800,000 to lawyers to stop Americans from seeing the proof that he is a natural born citizen as required by the United States Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, to be sworn into office as president of the United States. Why? Why can't he produce his birth certificate? Why would he spend over $800K to keep his birth certificate sealed? Folks, this is a very simple question. If this guy is a natural born citizen, what is the danger in making his birth certificate public? Heck, his tax return is public, why not his birth certificate? I just want to know if the United States of America is being screwed by a genuine American natural born citizen or a Kenyan-Indonesian fraud?

Looting of The USA – Chrysler LLC Version

Our Kenyan-Indonesian Anti-American President announces bankruptcy filing of a private company he invested with billions of dollars in our hard earned tax payer money.

He blamed some small hold out of investors / creditors for not agreeing to his plan of selling out this private company to its workers who happened to be part of UAW union that helped him get elected. He used the office of presidency to intimidate bondholders of this company to give up their claims; tried to influence the bankruptcy judge to agree to government's scheme and finalize bankruptcy within 30-60 days. The scheme that pays back to a union by giving majority ownership of a company they helped destroy. The scheme that gives 20%-35% of an American private company to an Italian for free so this italian company bring supposedly "green" tiny cars that are designed for tiny Italian roads to the U.S. to make delusional enviro-marxists happy.

Our president also pledged another $8,000,000,000 of our hard earned tax dollars to this now bankrupt company. This guy is making the crappiest investments with our money. Keep in mind folks, there is no discussion of the factors that brought Chrysler LLC to its current sad shape. Chrysler LLC makes small cars it can't sell. The only reason it is making these cars its customers do not want is to satisfy a government regulation that is there to satisfy enviro-marxists. A car company like Chrysler LLC that has a competitive advantage in designing, building and selling Sport Utility Vehicles, Minivans and Trucks is not allowed to capitalize on its competitive advantage. It is forced by the government to make cars it loses money designing, building. Government not only forced this company to make cars it can't sell, but also intimidated into giving into the demands of its union. I don't mind if you want to add other factors like management incompetency or general economical conditions. My point is that none of these factors are discussed and this whole think is not about sound business decisions. It is all about political expediency of a radical president who is using tax-payer money to reward his constituency. He is giving 55% of a private company to the union that helped him get elected. He is giving 35% of an American company to a foreign company so the environmentalists will be pleased to see itsy bitsy foreign cars are being sold here in the United States.

This same president is also committed $8 billion of our money for his grand experience in running a company based on political decisions. What happens when things don't go as planned by the supreme ego of Barack Hussein Obama? What happens if the bankruptcy judge sticks to the rule of law and ignores the orders of a tyrant in the White House and takes all the time to sort this thing out in a fair way? What happens when Americans refuse to buy these itsy bitsy Italian cars? How will we get our money back? Are we going to be forced into buying what government backed car companies produce? Will we be not only out of our money but also out of our freedoms?
